Abstract

The Philippines, with its diverse geographic and demographic landscape, faces unique challenges in managing infectious diseases. This paper explores the current status of infectious disease surveillance and control strategies in the Philippines, highlighting the key strategies employed to mitigate the impact of these diseases. In recent years, the Philippines has implemented a multi-faceted approach to infectious disease control, including strengthening laboratory capacity, improving surveillance systems, and enhancing public health response mechanisms. This abstract aims to provide an overview of the challenges faced by the country, the interventions put in place, and the effectiveness of these strategies in preventing and controlling infectious diseases.
